Granger Compacts: A Working Partnership

Reported by julia_alsirt@ipsd.org on 9/19/17

Parent Partnership: Working in a partnership is our goal. The first step in building that partnership with students, teachers, and parents is through the Granger Compact. This compact outlines for students their responsibilities but also summarizes the significant roles both parents and teachers also have in their success.

Tomorrow during advisory, all teachers will spend time explaining all of the aspects of our partnership as outlined in the compact. Ensuring everyone understands the Compact and the different roles is an important step to help us lay the groundwork for a successful school year for all students. In addition, this will help utilize conference time and other student-centered conversations more efficiently and effectively.

Below is a link to the google slides that will be used tomorrow in advisory. As you will notice all students and parents are being asked to review this document, sign it, and return it by Wednesday, September 28, 2017 to their advisory teacher. I would like to thank you in advance for your partnership and look forward to a successful school year. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.
