The team consisted of 10 kids from all over the country that came together to play baseball for the weekend. Jayden was on the 12U White Team.  They made it to the championship game. Unfortunately, they lost the championship game.  It was Still a great honor for the team to receive the finalist award.

Jayden also participated in the home run derby and he won 2nd place, from over 30 kids his age. He received the amazing glass plaque (see picture).  He actually had 4 home runs  during the skills competition and these were outside of the park -home runs.   He also had 1 home run out side of the park during the championship game as well.

It was such an honor that Jayden was selected to join this Jr. All American Team.  It was an amazing overall experience for Jayden and our family.

SPARK Robotics Team

On Saturday, May 6th, Granger students Bhargavi Sriram and Jyothika Papudesu, (along with other Granger students) earned the pleasure of representing Granger Grizzlies at the Illinois state level. Sriram and Papudesu received a Gold award and were extremely excited to celebrate along with all the participants who worked very hard to prepare for the fair.
When asked about the nature of their project, Sriram explained, “…throughout our scientific process we have discovered that in general, likable foods positively affect our brain stimulating activity and resulting in greater test scores. The cause of this stimulation is basically the aroma and/or the visual of the food item. So for the state science fair, we have extended our project to test to see if it is the visual or the aroma of the food items, or indeed the two qualities acting together that induce said positive results.” Congratulations Lady Grizzlies!
